Teams & Levels

At the Niagara Women’s Squash League, players of all experience levels are welcome! We kick off the season with a round robins, which helps our board get a sense of each player's skill level. Based on this and past experience, players are placed into teams of four to five.

Teams are thoughtfully created by the board to ensure balanced and competitive match play throughout the season. Each team includes players ranked from Level 1 to Level 4, giving everyone the opportunity to compete, improve, and enjoy the game. Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the sport, there's a place for you in our league!

League Fees & Spare Player Option

The Niagara Women’s Squash League operates with a fee of $80 for the season, which covers all league-related activities. In addition to this, players must be a member of an Ontario sanctioned squash club to join the league.

We understand that life can get busy, and if you’re unable to commit to playing every Tuesday, we also offer the option to join as a spare. Spare players are a crucial part of the league, stepping in to fill gaps when a rostered league member is unavailable. Spares are also welcome to join in on friendly match nights that take place throughout the season. This allows you to stay involved, enjoy the league, and still get some court time!

Where We Play

The Niagara Women’s League is proud to call Ridley College our home. Since the opening of their brand-new squash facility in the spring of 2024, we've been playing out of their impressive complex, which features five state-of-the-art courts—including a stunning glass show court. Ridley’s vibrant setting and top-tier amenities offer the perfect backdrop for our growing community of squash players.

League Schedule

The Niagara Women’s Squash League kicks off in late September with a fun and casual round robins to get everyone back on court. Official league matches begin in early October and run every Tuesday evening (excluding holidays) through to the end April. The season wraps up with two exciting weeks of playoffs, ending in our league finals and a celebratory banquet to close out the year in style!

Learn to Play – Just for Women

Curious about squash? We’ll help you take the first step.
While we don’t run our own Learn to Play programs, we’re happy to connect you with excellent local options for adult women—whether you're brand new to the sport or just brushing up on the basics.

We can point you toward:

  • Beginner group clinics at Ridley College or White Oaks Resort

  • Private coaching with experienced local instructors

  • Equipment advice, rule explanations, and what to expect on court

And the best part? Our league members are always happy to meet new players and hit around! If you're curious but not quite ready to sign up for lessons, we’d love to arrange a friendly intro rally or chat with one of our women’s league players. No pressure—just a chance to connect and have some fun.
